Grace Lau
Co-founder and Mentor, Information Architecture, UX Research, UX Design
Based in Greater Los Angeles, Grace Lau is an information architect and designer with 15+ years experience working in the industry. She supports the information architecture community through events and mentoring.
With her specialty in information architecture, content strategy, and taxonomy, she has provided digital experience designs and strategies for high-impact brands and organizations such as Cedar-Sinai Medical Center, Disney, Dignity Health, PatientPop, and many others.
She has organized, volunteered, and spoken at UX events locally in Los Angeles including UX Research Nights (2019), LA-UX meetup (2007), World IA Day Los Angeles (2017), World Usability Day Los Angeles (2019), and the San Gabriel Valley UX. She was co-chair for the 2021 Information Architecture Conference (IAC). Currently, she is co-president for the World Information Architecture Association, with Andrea Rosenbusch.
She has written for Boxes & Arrows, Optimal Workshop, and World IA Day. She has been a guest speaker on The Informed Life podcast. Grace has also been a guest speaker at General Assembly Toronto, UCLA, University of Southern California, Azusa Pacific University, Claremont Graduate University.
Grace is a founding partner at DIA Design Guild, along with Alexis Mendoza and Geno Sanchez.
When she's not organizing, you can find her adulting and watching Asian dramas.
