Welcome to the 2025 DIA Design Guild UX Apprentices!

Each year, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering the next generation of UX professionals by welcoming a new group of apprentices into the DIA Design Guild. The Apprentice Program is designed to create opportunities for aspiring UX practitioners to gain mentorship, hands-on experience, and a supportive learning community.
This year’s application process continued to evolve as we refined our approach to selecting candidates who not only demonstrate UX knowledge and curiosity but also align with DIA’s mission and values. With a two-stage screening process—including an application review and an interview—we sought individuals who showed a passion for inclusivity, accessibility, and continuous learning. The 2025 cohort represents a diverse group of talented individuals, each bringing unique backgrounds and perspectives from across the United States.
We are thrilled to welcome the following apprentices into this year’s program:
- Akari Sunaga (LinkedIn)
- Anthony Tran (LinkedIn)
- Christine Lee (LinkedIn)
- Jerry Magalhaes (LinkedIn)
- Melody Tang (LinkedIn)
- Monika "Mo" Hall (LinkedIn)
What Excites This Year’s Cohort
As we kicked off the program, we asked our apprentices what they were most excited about. Here’s what they shared:
- Gaining experience while learning
- Receiving structured mentorship from experienced UX professionals
- Collaborating on projects with a mission-driven team
- Deepening knowledge in accessibility and UX design
- Engaging with DIA’s community and values
Looking Ahead
We are incredibly grateful for the trust that both mentors and apprentices place in the DIA Design Guild. The journey ahead promises growth, challenges, and rewarding experiences for everyone involved. We can’t wait to see what this cohort will do.
Welcome, 2025 apprentices! Let’s make this year another one of learning, impact, and community.
